We’re almost halfway through 2025: how are you doing with your publishing goals?
This quarter, we’ve got several journals and contests with reading periods between June and August. Only Poems opens in July and offers $77 per poem; Chestnut Review offers $120 per poem. Dogwood Journal’s contest awards $1,000 for the best poem submitted during the reading period.
We continue to include a tab on this spreadsheet titled “Awards for Self-Published Books.” If you’ve decided to self-publish your collection, there are opportunities you can apply for this quarter after publication. If you publish your book on Kindle Direct Publishing this summer, you can submit to the Kindle Storyteller Award, which has a $20,000 top prize!
